Cheating a ghost: the infamous indicator story

Once it so happened that Pungi was riding his bike in the deserted road next to Kukkarahalli Lake  late at night. Riding at more than 50 Kmph he saw the bushes that had grown beside the road moving with him. It was as though something was following him in the bushes.

He wanted to check if it was an animal. He slowed down to 30, the thing in the bushes seemed to slow down with him. Appalled by the reaction he rode faster, as fast as his bike could take him. He was riding at 70 and the thing in the bushes seemed to have no problem travelling with him at that speed.

At that moment, drawing from everything he had learnt, heard and practised in his life (which according to him is a lot), he came to the conclusion that a “ghost” is following him along the bushes. Pungi knew that it is not how it is going to end. He always believed that he is destined for something big. He was going to fight it. He had to some how get out of this soup alive and he started thinking. “Think baby think” he said to himself and suddenly the baby thought of an idea BHAM!!
He had noticed that there was a dead end and he had two options, either to turn left or right. He turned on the right indicator and at the dead end took a left turn. Before the ghost had realised what had happened the poor thing had gone “right” and had lost pungi forever.
This is how Pungi made the ghost eat challe hannu.
